Copper wire inline annealing voltage fomular was created by Archived Forum Admin
Hi everybody,

I have an annealer to anneal copper wire after drawing. But I don't know the relative formula of annealing voltage/current and velocity, diameter of wire.
Please help me. Thanks so much

Hello vhgod,

Unfortunately your question is much too complicated to be answered in this forum. Instead what we recommend is that you contact the manufacturer of your electric annealer and obtain a manual from them.

If this is not possible for whatever the reason, then all we can suggest is that you purchase the Nonferrous Wire Handbook (Volume 3) and experiment using the information provided therein. (About 30 pages of the book are dedicated to the electric resistance annealing of copper wire.)

The book can be ordered here: www.wirenet.org/waistore/productdetail.cfm?productid=14
