High carbon wire maximum reduction was created by Gaurav Singh
Dear All,
I want to know how maximum reduction i put on the High carbon steel wire?
Can i draw directly 0.9 mm or below from 5.5 mm wire with mechanical descaling and phosphating, carbon is any like 38 C to 62 C.
we does't matter speed.,

Quality of steel , die profiles, number of drafts, cooling efficiency affect the total reduction of area .

Must common for C1065 steel is (+,-) RA 90%
5.5mm to 1.4 mm

Speed has small influence
