Mica taping of copper conductors was created by Mr Bhognath Shivapurapu
I am looking for information about the fastest mica tapers available in the market for sizes ranging from 0.5 sqmm upto 4 sqmm. What would be the speeds achievable on such machines with an mica overlap of 40%?
Appreciate if you could send me some information my way.
Regards
Bhognath

Mr. Shivapurapu,
If you go to WAI's Virtual Trade Show and select " taping machinery" under "Product(s)", you will find a list of 60 companies that manufacture and sell taping machinery. It is understood of course that many of these machines will be for cables and not insulation. None-the-less, it will be up to you to find what concentric machines suit your company best. (Drives, spare parts, technical assistance, guaranteed speed, years in business, etc.) The machines could be vertical or horizontal with one or more taping heads.
As far as performance goes, write a performance or process specification that they agree to and sign. Then make it part of your purchase specification so that there is no confusion afterwards as to what you and your company expected. Non conformance to the performance specification is one major reason for holdbacks in today's world.
Another way of finding manufacturers is to type "Mica Taping Machines" into Google and start reviewing the companies.
This exercise seems like it will be a lot of fun and a good learning experience.
