Training was created by Archived Forum Admin
I am looking for training videos for wire and cable manufacturing operations. We have found videos relating to extrusion, but have not been able to locate for other departments such as cabling or braiding. Can anyone provide a source?

No videos but how about some reading from the Wire Association?

Check this out (Hot off the presses!): www.wirenet.org/waistore/productdetail.cfm?productid=172

To the best of my knowledge no videos exist on these particular subjects and most literature is limited to basics. We offer training courses for Double Twist machines in particular and can elaborate on the rest of the cabling stranding processes.

I know people that will make training videos for you. The problem is that in the end a turnkey 10 to 20 minute video will cost between $8K and $15K. It would take dozens of hours of taping to edit to get the 10 to 20 minues of meaningful tape.

If you have or can get UTube do a search for Wire Drawing as there are several there. I did not look at them but I think they could be helpful
