Heat treatment cycle reduction in super thermalrod was created by Mr THOTIAL SUNDARAM
I am in the process of developing super thermal aluminum alloy rod for STACIR conductor in my present work with Sterlite technologies ltd .INDIA.(ONE TYPE OF HTLS conductor)During rod manufacture, Zr in the level 0.23-0.25% is added in the solution treated condition to the aluminum melt. After the rod production in the continuous casting and rolling technique, it requires a heat aging cycle of 40-50 hrs duration to bring conductivity 60%IACS as of AT3 rod of IEC620004 category.

Can anybody know method for reducing the heat cycle duration or any other method to get without going heat aging/ annealing route.?-
